30 Minutes to sunset

"30 minutes to sunset" is a study of the color of light and the effect on the landscape as Claude Monet did with the famous the haystack series or the paintings of the cathedral of Rouen.

My idea has been to spread the transition of light and colors over a single landscape in panoramic format rather than painting the different light conditions of multiple canvases; I started on the left side with the yellow light of late afternoon, an hour before sunset, then slid to the orange tones of the light 30 minutes before sunset in the center, and then moved to the red-purple light of the sun on the horizon on the right side of the canvas, with the blue shadows climbing from the valley up the mountains.
