"The daughter of the sea" is one of my favorite mermaid paintings because it combines in a original and harmonious way the fantasy elements with the powerful impressionist style that I love

The pattern of the water and the cliffs are rendered with bold brush strokes and the color palette cast the warm sunset light to the viewer, the pose and sensuality of the mermaid suggest a story that everyone can imagine for himself
