Metaphores and Symbolism

Mermaids are just one of the infinite possibilities of combining real elements in an imaginative and surprising way, this approach offers space for creativity and has been used by symbolist and surrealist painters, I love to explore these possibilities to create new images that convey concepts, thoughts and emotions through metaphors and symbols or are simply contemporary representations of classical myths.

From a stylistic point of view, this magical realism of mine blends the impressionist approach attentive to light and atmosphere with elements typical of the fantasy rather than metaphysical and symbolist universe.
