About Marco Busoni

The Magic Realism of Marco Busoni

The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.

Beyond the veil of reality

My art is an exploration of the beauty of this world that often come to us blared by haste and habit, taking time to observe and capture colors and light have brought me to discover the magic that lay beyond the veil of our everyday reality.
Panting is a fusion of emotions and technique instinct and study. I started as landscape and the plain air painter, and still love to paint the wide and clear panoramas of the Alps or the Mediterranean landscapes of Tuscany, focusing my way to contemporary impressionism, but my strong imagination brought my beyond.
I began to work a sophisticated and carefully designed images, this studio paintings are visions that grow up between my head and the canvas in a slow distillation process, realism is mixed with fantasy to render the magic that I see beyond the veil of reality. A technical challenge is because I want paint a believable way elements that cannot be captured by any camera, for example the sensual curves of a woman transformed into a mermaid, one of my favorite subjects.
I use traditional oil painting on canvas, but I love also to explore the cutting edge of image technology being a professional photographer and a digital artist. I use digital imaging tools for illustration commissions and to focus my visions creating sophisticated studies for my fantasy and conceptual paintings, but beyond the subtleties of technology survive the impressionist soul, the child with curious eyes that try to catch the wonder of light
